Jr. Kindergarten Assistant Teacher

My name is Ms Fahma. I was born and educated in Somalia. While in high school my father, a cardiologist, was furthering his professional development in Rome, Italy while also working in Somalia. It was during this time that he became aware of the difficulties brewing in Somalia. In this same time period I was attending Nursing School. He immediately sent for our family to go to Italy where I remained there for an additional 13 years. I married and relocated to the United States in 1998. I attended NOVA to better the English I already knew. We have three beautiful daughters, Yousra, Assia and Amira.

I have been teaching since 2016 and have been with Good Beginnings School since March of 2017. I am a “Jill of all trades,” and can and do help anywhere and everywhere I am needed. This year you will primarily see me with the wonderful Junior Kindergarten 2 class, assisting Ms. Mary Anne. This year is filled with educational opportunities that will guide each child’s growth and development. I look forward to the fun we will have, exploring and learning.

I am also one of the bus drivers, so I have a chance to mingle with the school aged students as well. When I am not at school, I enjoy cooking, baking, and taking nature walks.
